Unexpectedly on Monday January 9, 2017; aged 59 years. Dearly loved son of Lydia and the late Bill, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Cath and Karl, Jos and Ian, Bruce and Nicki, and loved uncle Bob of Ben, and Grace; Maddy, and Will.

A service for Bob will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12.30pm on Saturday January 14, followed by private cremation.

It is with sadness that the Chemistry Department acknowledges the unexpected passing of Bob, a friend and respected colleague to the many staff and students who have been associated with the department.

During the 41 years Bob worked with us, he was a micro-analyst extraordinaire who generously supported the research of the department.

Appreciation of his skills and helpfulness have been acknowledged by generations of post-graduate students. Our thoughts are with Bob’s family at this time.
