On March 17th 2018 peacefully at Oamaru Hospital after bravely suffering, for some time.

Dearly loved wife of the late Alan, loving mother and mother-in-law of Ray and Debbie Francis (Kakanui), the late Terry, Peter and Karen (South Africa), Michael and Jeanette (Australia), Trevor and Amanda (Oamaru) and Graeme and Imi (England), loving friend of Jane (South Africa). Adored Ganny of Natalie and Ray Carpenter and John and Amy Francis, Gran of Travis and Bianca, Granny of Amy and Justin, Granny Dear of Tegan and Tyler and Gogo of Greta, treasured Great Ganny of Fern, Hayden and Luke Carpenter and Lilly and Charlie Francis, also special friend of Pam McCabe and Bev Mason, loved by so many people in South Africa, the Catlins and Oamaru.

The family would like to thank the staff of Oamaru Hospital for her care and the staff and residents at Iona for their friendship and love.

Mum you are going to be greatly missed by so many. RIP.

A funeral mass for Denise will be held at St Patrick’s Basilica, Reed Street Oamaru on Friday 23rd March at 2pm, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to The Order of St John would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
