CHEER, Noel D.V. Died peacefully at Churtonleigh Rest Home and Hospital, Wellington, on Tuesday 14th August 2018.

Noel was the dearly loved husband and best friend of Shirley, and formerly of Robyn. Noel was the esteemed father and father-in-law of Joanne and Brendan, Chris and Debby, Fran and Suzy; and step-father and step-father-in-law of Jennifer and Steve, Kathryn and Mark, and of Wen and Dawen.

Noel was the cherished grandfather of Olivia, Lucy, Ruby, Josy and Daisy; and step-grandfather of Caitlin, Edwin, Jessica and Emma, and of David and Victoria.

Noel was the loved elder brother and brother-in-law of Heather and Brian, Rodger and Jill, Elaine and Bob, Bruce and Linda, Christine and John; and brother-in-law of Ath and Martin, Nat and Ray (both deceased), John and Val, Joan (deceased) and Neil, and of Elaine and Viv. Noel was the son of the late Veda and Ted Cheer. Special thanks to all the people who have helped and supported Noel over the past months.

Messages to the family may be left in Noel’s online memorial book at www.tributes.co.nz or may be posted c/- 4 Moorefield Rd, Johnsonville. Donations to the Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

A Commemoration of Noel’s life will be held at the Johnsonvillle Uniting Church, Dr Taylor Tce, Johnsonville on Saturday 18th August 2018 at 2pm.
