Loved husband of Jennifer for 51 years, and loved father and father-in-law of Alec and Karleen, Glen, and Sheryl and John. Loved grandfather of Dean, and Mitchell, Kestrel, and Killian. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Gavin and Rowena, and Iain and Fiona.

The family wishes to thank the medical staff of Wards 8A and 8B at Dunedin Hospital, and the staff of Leslie Groves Hospital.

A funeral service for Doug will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 3.00pm on Tuesday, January 20, followed by private cremation.
