On June 30, 2015, after a short illness, at the Otago Community Hospice.

Special Mum and mother-in-law of Sally and Craig, and Kate, special Nana of her fur-baby grandchildren Jett and Myla, dearly loved daughter of the late Lena and Gordon Campbell, loved sister of the late Pat, Marie, Heather, the late Joanne, the late Roslyn, and their families, respected friend of Allan Motion, Shirley and the late Geoff Smith-Palmer, Sue and Mark Ratten, and Margaret and Aaron Barker, and loved Aunty She-Ellen of all her nieces and nephews.

Family thank the staff of the Otago Community Hospice for their awesome care and attention.


A service to celebrate Ellen’s life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10.00am on Friday July 3, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
