Loved son of Sylvia and the late Douglas Girvan, loved brother and brother-in-law of Janet and Eric, Elspeth and James, and Ian and Jennie, loved uncle of Tim, Sam, and Kirsty; Richard, and Katie; Rebecca, and Andrew.

A service for Alan will be held in St John’s Anglican Church Roslyn, 373 Highgate, Dunedin at 2.00pm on Thursday August 13, followed by private cremation. Messages to Unit 310, Summerset at Bishopscourt, 36 Shetland St, Wakari, Dunedin 9010 or leave a message in Alan’s tribute book below.
