On November 15, 2006 at the Home of St Barnabas, Dunedin, aged 85 years. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Murlyn & Garth McCombe (Te Anau), Dawn Wilson (Harwood), Stephen Hey (Brisbane). Very loved Grandma and friend of Tony (Sydney), Kim (Perth), Gina (Abbotsford), Katrina (Christchurch), Eugene (Christchurch), Therese & Darryn (Riversdale), Timothy & Michelle (Wellington), and a loved great-grandmother of her 15 great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to the St Barnabas Home staff for their love and care.

A service for Joyce will be held in St Patrick's Basilica, Macandrew Road, South Dunedin at 11am on Saturday November 18, followed by private cremation.
