On August 30, 2016, peacefully at home; aged 70 years.

Loved husband of Janice, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Alana and Andrew MacKenzie (Alexandra), Jason and Paula Roberts (Havelock North), Kelly and Rod McDonald (Christchurch), dearly loved Pop of Brooke, Caitlin, and Amber; Ella, and Lily; and wee Hudson.

A service for John will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12.30pm on Saturday September 3, followed by private cremation.
