Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on May 25, 2018 at Dunedin Hospital; in his 76th year.

Loved husband of the late Joy, loved father and father-in-law of Karen and Mark Hodgkinson (Dunedin), Raewyn and Simon Winsley (Timaru), Debra and Blair Harris (Timaru), and loved Grandpa of the late Renée, Aimee Hodgkinson; Kate, Jack and Matt Winsley; Baxter, Foster and Anika Harris – we will miss your long Grandpa hugs! A special thank you to the ICU team at Dunedin Hospital. At John’s request a private cremation has been held.

A celebration of his life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road, and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 3pm on Wednesday May 30.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St Johns would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service.
