MACPHERSON, Shirley Florence
(formerly Pettitt, nee Cockburn)

On June 14, 2018, peacefully at Otago Community Hospice, after a short illness; aged 88 years.

Loved wife of the late Duncan, and Alf Pettitt, loved mother and mother-in-law of Vivian and Alistair McCallum, Bruce and Jennifer Pettitt, loved Gran of Hamish, Kylie and Nathan Barnes, and Jamie; Brent and Brooke, Melanie, Alfred, and Ambre, and loved G-G of Abbie. Loved birth-mother of Anne Halpin (Wollongong) and loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother of Anne’s family (Australia).

Grateful thanks to the staff of Ward 4A, Dunedin Hospital and the Otago Community Hospice for their care and support.

A service for Shirley will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12.30pm on Wednesday June 20, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
