SCHOEMAKER, John William

John passed away peacefully on Sunday January 19, 2020, in the care of the wonderful staff at Montecillo after a hard fought battle with cancer; aged 60 years.

Loved only son of the late Raemer and Harry, loved brother and brother-in-law of Di and Dave Rutter, Judith and Barry Veenvliet, loved uncle of Matt and Chiara, Dan and Ashleigh, Nick, Danielle and Jack, and Cody, loved nephew of Mavis (Auckland) and Sandy^ (Hugh) Stevenson, Irene^ and Snowy^ (Murray) Montgomery, Tante Ria (Nimegen) Netherlands, Jan^ and Mary^, Toon^ and Rie, Wim^ and Anky^, Wies^ (^Denotes deceased).

Loved by all his cousins in NZ, Netherlands and Australia.

Will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Thanks for the exceptional care at Montecillo, Oncology Dept and Otago Community Hospice.
Also his amazing friends from NZ, Australia and Europe who have supported him throughout this journey.

A private cremation has been held in accordance with John’s wishes.
