On March 11, 2020 peacefully at his home; aged 79 years.

Dearly loved husband of the late Shirley, loved father and father-in-law of John and Helen (St Leonards), Wayne and Robyn (Adelaide), Sandra and Peter Walding, loved Grandad of Hayden, Sophie, and Charlotte; Erin, and Brady; Nicholas, Thomas, and Grace, a loved brother and brother-in-law and uncle of his nieces and nephews.

A service for Ian will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, March 18, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Hocken Library would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
