TURVEY, Annette (Anne)

Passed away peacefully, at Dunedin Hospital on September 1, 2021; aged 89 years.

Loved wife of the late Dick Turvey, respected mother and mother-in-law of Ruth and James Graham, grandmother of Simon, and Mark, friend of Monique (Wellington). Loved daughter of the late William and Christina Thomas of Oamaru.

Former social worker for the Anglican Methodist Family Care Centre, St Kilda Borough Councillor and Deputy Mayor, Director of the YWCA, Dunedin City Councillor and Commissioner. Advocate for the people of St Kilda and a supporter of public library services.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Anne’s life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 2.00pm, on Monday April 4.
