On September 1, 2007, surrounded by her family at the Otago Community Hospice.

Dearly loved Mum of Daryl and Lynette Ballantine (Waikouaiti), Rod and Lynley Kinera (New Plymouth), Warren and Denise Ballantine (Blenheim), very special Nana to Daniel and Sally, and Nathan (New Plymouth), Tracy and Stephen (Dunedin), Kylie and Devoy (Blenheim), precious great-Nana of Hayden and the late Joshua; and Jordan.

A service will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 4 followed by burial in the Waikouaiti Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations for the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Youngest daughter of the late Gilbert and Frances McMeeking, treasured sister of Marjorie Templeton (Invercargill), Colin McMeeking (Christchurch), Robert McMeeking (Christchurch), and the late Janet, Joyce, Dorothy, and Alex, loved sister-in-law of Norma McMeeking (Christchurch), Ian and Joyce Paterson (Invercargill), Jill McMeeking (Invercargill), Marion Ballantine (Bluff), and Myra Brook (Gore), special Aunty to all her nieces and nephews.
