On August 30, 2007 suddenly at Dunedin; aged 72 years.

Dearly beloved husband of Josephine, loved father and friend of Judith, Deborah and Allan, Shelley and Kent, loved grandad of Ashton, Ryan, and Caroline; Gabrielle, and Flynn. Beloved second son of the late Jesse and Dinah Waring, loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Gloria, Rita and the late Chris Rugeris, Dixie and the late Ivor, Jessie Murphy, Grace and George Carmichael, Ted and Maxine and loved uncle of his nieces and nephews.

A service for David will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 1.00pm on Friday September 7, followed by private interment.
