Peacefully at home, on Tuesday August 22, 2023, with his family; aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband, business partner, and travel companion of Cath, for 71 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Michelle, Katrina and Mike Kreft (Wanaka), and Claire (Auckland), loved grandfather of Hadley, Corin and Charlie (UK), Leith and Lucy (Melbourne), Lee and Nic Fisher, Keighley and Michael Cockroft, Rebecca and Adam Hawkins (Wanaka), Brad and Grace Kreft (Greytown), Byron Clark and Ksenia Anfimova, and Conrad Clark (Auckland), proud great-grandfather of Jodie-Anne, Flynn, Alfie; Lottie, and Louie; Lyla; Lia, Gracie, and Harper; Freddie, and Ellie; Ollie, Marley, and Fletch; and Demi.

A celebration of Lex’s life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 11.00am, on Monday August 28, followed by private cremation.
