MOLTENO, Anthony Christopher Bernard (Ant, Prof) Emeritus Professor of Ophthalmology, MBChB, FRCS, ONZM - Died August 25, 2023 at the farm, with family by his side; aged 85 years. Devoted and adored husband of Tess for 62 years. Loved father and father in law of Nina, Tim, Camilla and Julian. Proud grandfather of Christopher and Katy, Emma, James, Peter, Oliver, Theo, Linus, Charlotte, Rachael, Delta, and Nicola, great grandfather of Peter.


- Anthony was an extraordinary man with a brilliant and creative mind. He was a renowned eye surgeon and researcher, who loved teaching. He cared deeply for his patients, his students, and the people he worked with.


A Service for Anthony will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 10am on Thursday August 31. In lieu of flowers donations to Blind Low Vision New Zealand would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
