On December 29, 2007 at Dunedin; aged 85 years.

Beloved husband of the late Olga (nee Mantell), beloved father and father-in-law of Marilyn and Craig Petrie (Wellington), John and Jenny (Napier) and grandfather of David, Michael, and Christopher; Nigel, and Jason.

A service for George will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 1pm on Thursday January 3, followed by private cremation.
