Loved husband of the late Ruth (nee Stanton), much loved father and father-in-law of Laurie and Gill (Christchurch), Margaret Crozier (Auckland), Barbara Chisholm and Christopher Spears, Alison and Bruce Johnston (Coalgate), loving pop of Celia, Julian, Christopher, and Jonathon; Tom; Lauren, Sam, and Paula; Benjamin, and Zannah, great-grandad of Grace, Sophie, Annika, James, and Georgia.

A service for Hugh will be held at Hope and Sons Chapel, corner of Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 3 pm on Friday March 28 followed by private cremation.
