On June 22, 2008, at Christchurch Hospital.

Dearly beloved husband of Florence for 65 years. Loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Judith and Ian Hurdle (Kaiapoi), Rex and Elana McCay (Perth, WA) and Karen and Ray Macleod (Dunedin). Nick, Jody and Alexander Hurdle (Auckland), Tim Hurdle (Auckland), Andrew and Suzy Macleod (Wellington) and Charlotte Macleod (Wellington).

A service for Fergus will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, at 10am on Saturday June 28, followed by private burial.
