On October 5, 2008, suddenly at home; aged 68 years.

Dearly loved husband and travelling companion of Katherine (nee Johnson), dearly loved dad and father-in-law of Christopher and Fiona, and Jacqui. Loved eldest son of the late Charlie and Julia Sturgeon, loved brother and brother-in-law of Annette and Les McKenzie, Phillip and Noeline, Yvonne and Arthur Hayward and the late Christine. Loved brother-in-law of Mary Johnson, Robin and Yvonne Johnson, Paula and Jim Hodges. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

A service for Eddie will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 11am on Thursday October 9, followed by private cremation.
