Peacefully at Dunedin Hospital on January 16, 2009 surrounded by her loving family, in her 80th year.

Loved wife of the late Ernie Holden. Loved mother, mother-in-law, and grandma of Gerard & Rosemary, Joanne, and Briar Holden; Mary & Wally, Anna, Claire, and Tom McSherry; Paula & Peter, Ben, and Sarah Newman; Anne & Steve, Elissa, Holly, and Emily Anderson; Catherine Holden and Raj Patel; Clare Holden and Mick Wilson; Helen Holden & Gordon, Harriet, Connie, Ru, and Toby McDonald; Bernadette Holden & Brent Ellis; Gabriel & Tim, Harry, Charlie, Mary, and Lily Heath. Loved sister of Pat and the late Tom and Frank Forster.

Requiem Mass for Mary will be celebrated in St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Benhar Street, Mornington at 11am on Monday January 19, followed by burial in Port Chalmers Cemetery.
