On March 16, 2009 at the Otago Community Hospice, surrounded by his loving family; aged 68 years.

Dearly loved husband and friend of Gwen, loved dad and father-in-law of Bruce and Sue, Shayne and Erica (Brisbane), Debra and Wayne, and Craig. Dearly loved step-dad of Linda (England), Wayne and Jan, Leanne and Mark, Arthur and Belinda. Loving grandpa of Siraya, and Mitchell; Lily-Jai, and Joshua; Hayley and Terry, and Madena; Ryan, Mark, and Liam; Dylan, and Sheree. Loved great grandad of Tamzin, and John.

A service for John will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12noon on Saturday March 21, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations for the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
