On March 31, 2009 peacefully at his home; aged 89 years.

Dearly loved husband of Maria for 56 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Sylvia and Charlie Whautere (New Plymouth), and Rosemarie and John Finlayson, loved Opa of Hannah, and Sam; Morgan, and Austin and loved by all his extended family in Holland.

A Service for Hermen will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10am on Saturday April 4 followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations for Presbyterian Support will be appreciated and may be left at the service.
