Treasured and beloved husband of Lorraine for nearly 50 years, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Warren and Leeanne, Lester and Julie, Grandad to his treasured grandchildren, Gabrielle, James, William, and dear Emily. Youngest son of the late Robert and Johan Mathieson (Tomahawk), loved brother and brother-in-law of Kathleen and the late Alistair Mathieson (Auckland), John and June Mathieson (Tauranga), loved uncle of Rodney (Sydney), Joanne (Auckland), Garth (Tauranga), John and Lyn (Auckland) and a loved great uncle. Loved son-in-law of the late Frank and Sarah Kennedy (Mornington).

"In life we loved you dearly, in death we loved you still, in our hearts you hold a place, no-one could ever fill. Too dearly loved to ever be forgotten".

A service to celebrate Fergus' life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 11.00am on Thursday June 4, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
