On June 8, 2009 in Dunedin; aged 89 years.

Beloved and cherished wife of the late Lindsay (Lin) for 61 years.

Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Lindsay and Kay (Wellington), Christine and the late Byron (Wellington), Suzanne (Sue) and Duncan Simpson (Auckland, formerly Dunedin), much loved grandma to Jennifer; Antony, and John; Catriona (UK), and Rachel and great grandma to Grace and Josiah; Tom, Lucy and Emily; George and Charles (UK); Isabella and Samuel.

Thanks to the staff at Marne Street Hospital for their care of Mary during her stay there.

A service for Mary will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 3pm on Thursday June 11, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association would be appreciated and may be left ar the service or sent to P O Box 16238, Sandringham, Auckland 1351.
