On June 7, 2009 at the Otago Community Hospice after a courageous battle, surrounded by his family; aged 39 years.

Loved husband of the late Fiona and partner Chanita. Dearly loved Dad of Hayley. Loved eldest son and stepson of Brian & Ailsa Swan and Barbara & Ray Murphy. Loved brother of Richard and loved by Deborah & Ian Scott (Melbourne) Julianne & Russell Kennelly, Shane & Mary Murphy, Justin & Louise Swan (Brisbane), Katrina & David Gale, and loved uncle of his nieces and nephews and loved friend of Vickie.

A service to celebrate Brendon's life will be held in Hope & Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 1pm on Thursday June 11, then to the Green Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
