On August 16, 2009 at Dunedin Hospital; aged 75 years.

Much loved husband of Pat, loved son of the late Constance and Arthur, loved brother and brother-in-law of Lynley and the late Arthur, Peter and Margie, Ronnie and Mel, Karen and the late Paul, Laurie and Judy, Max and the late Willie, Judy and Pat, Jan and the late Richard. Loved son-in-law of the late Annie O'Donnell (Chuckles), loved brother-in-law of Brian and Linda O'Donnell, the late Imelda and Tony Clement, Leslie and Margaret O'Donnell, Ernest and Hilary O'Donnell, and Kathleen O'Donnell, loved uncle and great uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate David's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 2.00pm on Friday August 21, followed by private cremation.
