On September 9, 2009 at Dunedin Hospital following a car accident.

Dearly loved husband of Doreen and the late Mary. Loved father of Anne, David, and Joan. Loved stepfather of Dorothy Duthie, Susan Lean and Jeff Lean and Grandad of John, David, and Keith Duthie.

A service for Jim will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 11am on Monday September 14, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
