On October 13, 2009 at Dunedin Hospital following a short illness, aged 82 years.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of Erin. Dearly loved Dad and father-in-law of Anne and John, Pauline and Peter, Gerald and Geraldine, Peter and Susan. Loved Grandpa of Patrick, Megan and Francesca; Emily, Rebecca, Stephen, Hannah, Esther and Rachael; Bridget, Ben and Tim; Michael and Christopher.

Rest in peace.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Cathedral, Rattray St, Dunedin at 11am on Saturday October 17, followed by private cremation.

Rosary will be held in the Cathedral at 7.00pm on Friday October 16.
