On November 16, 2009 Suddenly at Dunedin Hospital, in her 93rd year.

Dearly loved wife of the late George, loved mother and mother-in-law of Bev and James Aitken, Jenny and Terry Wastney (Christchurch), and John and Clare, much loved grandma of Anthony and Barbs, Jacquie and Chris Aynsley, and the late Phillip: Penny and Mike Coggan, Melanie, and Tim; Katie and Philip, Rosalind and Tony Allison, loved great grandma of Harvey and Jules, Lily, Oscar, and Polly; Ella, Harry, and Will; Laura, and Meg.

A service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held in St John's Anglican Church, Highgate, Dunedin at 2pm on Friday November 20 followed by private cremation.
