On November 23, 2009 peacefully at Brooklands Rest Home; in his 89th year. Much loved husband of the late May, loved father and father-in-law of Sylvia and Graeme Watt, Ron and Liz Anderson, Lou and Lorraine Anderson, Jan and Bryan Wheeler and loved grandfather of his grandchildren Victoria, Richard, Jenny, and David; Rachel and Jonathon; Tim and Marcelle; Adrian, Corey; the late Shelley, Gemma, and Kylie and great grandfather of Holly, Harry, Emma, Charlie, and Emily.

A service for Doug will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 3.30pm on Friday November 27, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
