- On April 25, 2010 peacefully at Ross Home, Dunedin, with his family; In his 97th year.

Dearly loved husband of Betty and the late Elizabeth, loved step-father and friend of Brian and Caroline, Alan and Norma, Vincent and Jill, Judith and Tony, Stuart and Lyndsay, treasured Grandad Charles to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Heartfelt thanks to Dr Pru Murdoch, and also the staff at Craig Ward, Ross Home.

A service to celebrate Charles life will be held in First Church of Otago, Moray Place, Dunedin at 1pm on Monday May 3, the funeral then leaving for Green Park Services Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Child Cancer Foundation would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
