Died peacefully at home on his 92nd birthday 12th February 2011.

Much loved and devoted husband of Luciana for 64 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Anita and John, John and Narelle, Mark and Lynne and Paula. Cherished Grandfather of Trudi and Ian, Greg and Wendy, Nicki, Ben and Simonne, Kiri and Brad, Lena and Craig, Anita, Kushla and Markus, and treasured Great Grandpa (Nono) of Ashleigh, Devon, Hannah, Emily, Madison, Kenzie, Anabel, Jasper, Taiaroa and Freya.

A service will be held in Hope & Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10.30am on Friday February 18, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers there will be facilities for a contribution to the Otago Community Hospice who were part of a caring group of services who made it possible for Gordy to reach his journey's end at home.
