GARDINER, Yvonne Margaret (nee Gately) of Ranfurly

Peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday September 22, 2011 at the Otago Community Hospice; aged 68 years.

Dearly beloved wife and best friend for 43 years of David, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Leigh and Tim Petrie (Weston), Scott and Joedy (Christchurch), Justin and Simone (South Australia), much loved Grandma of Rhys, Emma, Alice and Samuel, Max, Claudia, Allana, Emily and Cameron. Loved eldest daughter of the late Ann and Bert Gately, loved and caring sister and sister-in-law of Trevor and Sandra Gately (Nelson), Robert Gately (Wellington), Allan and Karen Gately (New Plymouth), Sonia and Ray Kearney (Ranfurly), Karen and John Liddy (Timaru). Loved aunt of her nieces and nephews.

A service for Yvonne will be held at the Ranfurly Presbyterian Church, Northland Street, Ranfurly at 1pm on Monday September 26 followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers and in recognition of the care, support and compassion shown to Yvonne and family, donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
