MONTGOMERY, Hugh John.

On April 13, 2012 peacefully at the Otago Community Hospice, surrounded by his loving family; aged 71 years.

Dearly loved husband of Denise. Loved and respected dad and father-in-law of Martin and Julie, Jill and David Rosell (USA), loving grandad of Sam, Ella and Harry; Sophie, and Jack. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Ann and the late Laurence Grundy (USA). Will be missed by his special cats Levi and Zak.

Special thanks to the Oncology staff at Dunedin Hospital and the Otago Community Hospice for their care of Hugh.

In honour of Hugh's request of "no fuss" there will be an informal gathering to celebrate his life at Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10.30am on Wednesday April 18, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers donations for the Otago Harbour Ferry - Elsie Evans (Hugh's special project) would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
