Loved husband of the late Doris Margaret and loved friend and companion of the late Nancy Murray. Father and father-in-law of Lester and Dawn (Dunedin), Doug and Lynne (Australia), Diane and Keith (Christchurch), Julie (Christchurch), Graeme and Kirsty (Australia), Susan and Bruce (Auckland). Loved Grandad and Poppa of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved brother of Ruth MacDonald (Ranfurly) and the late Douglas, Margaret and Cath.

A private service for John has been held.
