On July 13, 2012, at Dunedin Hospital after a courageous battle; aged 64 years. Dearly loved husband of Barbara, loved father and father-in-law of Shane and Lisa (Canada), Adam and Sal (Sydney), loved Grandad of Nell, Helena and Abbey.

A service in honour of Bruces' life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 2.30pm on Wednesday July 18, followed by private cremation.
