On October 23, 2012 at Marne Street Hospital, Dunedin. Now at peace after a long illness; aged 65 years.

Dearly loved youngest son of the late Robert and Violet McAra.

Loved brother of Elza De Rijk and Margaret Bayne and a good companion of his late brothers, Stanley, Peter, and Raymond and uncle of his many nieces and nephews.

A service for Sydney will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 12noon on Saturday October 27, followed by private cremation.
