Supported by the caring staff of Ward 8C DPH, Malcolm died gently, embraced in the love of his family and friends. Loved partner of Euan Thomson, "Kiwi Dad" of Ilaitia and Irene Delasau (Auckland). Poppa of Ratu Osea. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Jennifer and Bas Howell (Christchurch), Philip and Nasrin (Sydney), Russell and Margaret, Alan and Anne (Dunedin), Alister and Margaret (Invercargill), Fergus and Christine Thomson (Warrington), and Elinor Barker (Auckland).

Loved uncle of his 18 nieces and nephews and 22 great-nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating Malcolm's life and talents will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 1pm on Thursday December 13, followed by private cremation.

A donation for the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
