-- On January 13, 2013; at Marne Street Hospital, in his 93rd year. Late of Makarora and Lake Hawea.

-- Dearly loved husband of the late Nance, brother of the late Kathleen, and brother of Neil. Father of Malcolm, and Ian, father-in-law of Prue, and Jane, and Di. Much loved Grandfather of Megan, and Jocelyn; Chris, and Jon, and Great-Grandfather of Cameron.

At John's request, a private cremation will be held.
A memorial gathering to celebrate John's life will be held at Hawea at a date to be advised.
