On March 15, 2013, at Dunedin; aged 80 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Loved father of Barry and Aileen, Sharron and Brian, Denise and Pat, Stephen and Diane, Linda and Dave. Loved Grandad of Daniel, Rory, Sonia, Kyle, Jack and the late Kelly and Jamie; Sean, and Amanda; Jason, Melinda, Jordan, Logan, and the late Christopher; Amy, and Sam and a loved great-grandad of his 18 great-grandchildren.

A service for John will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10am on Wednesday March 20.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
