NOORDHOF-SMITH, Elisabeth (Els) Johanna
24 February 1924 - 7 March 2013

Aged 89 years, peacefully at Ross Home Hospital, after a long illness.
Adored by all her family.

Beloved wife of the late Harold (Hal) Wendell Smith. Only daughter of the late Gosse Eelke Noordhof and Geertruida Johanna de Vries (Bloemendaal, Holland). Cherished mother, mother-in-law and grandmother of son Jan Noordhof with Ann, Katia and Gordon, of daughter Nicola Robb with Ross Coombes, Jake (Canada), Emma and Paolo, Daughter Miranda Thomson with Donald, Charlotte, Isobelle and Joan, Son Matthijs Smith with Anne, Dylan and Max Smith (Melbourne). Loved sister, of George Noordhof and wife Colleen (UK), of the late Robert Noordhof, and wife Phyllis (Canada). Sister-in-law of Dorothy Waters and family, Marilyn Smith and the late Betsy Epler (USA).

Special thanks to Dr Mark Bevin for his care, wisdom and smiles. Our gratitude to all Nurses, Carers and support Staff at Ross Home Hospital for the wonderful care and kindness they have given Els.

Els has left a unique legacy through her Artwork, her intellect, her humanity and most of all her wisdom and love of life.

A Memorial Celebration will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Orokonui Eco Sanctuary or the SPCA would be appreciated.
