Dearly loved husband of Elsie, for 65 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Sandra and Steve Gillies (Edendale), Trevor and Cheryl (Auckland), Warren and Vicki (Whangarei), Steph and Bernie Halford (Dunedin), Phillip and Moana (Dunedin), Karen and Sam Booth (Perth) and loved Grandad to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild, and a loved brother of Thora Fox (Invercargill).
A service for Syd will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin at 12:30pm on Monday, May 13, followed by private cremation.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
