Peacefully at Dunedin Hospital after a brief illness, on June 11, 2013 surrounded by his family; in his 62nd year.

Loving and loved husband, father and friend of Jenny, Lizzy and Hamish, Ben and Julie. Loved son of the late Les and Margaret Ferris (Gore) and son-in-law of Al and the late May Amer (Christchurch).

Loving brother and brother-in-law of Helen and the late Bevan Harvey and Rod (Nelson), the late Patricia, Paul and Marie (Glenorchy), the late Noel, twin brother of Mark (Auckland), Anne and Trevor Roughan (Otama) and David and Sophia Amer and all his nieces and nephews. Loved and treasured friend of Gaye and George Tetzlaff.

A fiercely loyal firefighter no longer able to take his watch, supported, loved and reluctantly released to the care of his maker.

Special thanks to all the nurses and doctors who managed Keith's journey.

A service for Keith will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 10.00am on Saturday June 15, followed by burial at Dunedin Cemetery, Emmerson Street, Concord.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
