On July 25, 2013 unexpectedly, after a short illness, at Dunedin Hospital; in his 68th year.

Loved son of the late Jim and Elsie, cherished husband and friend for 40 years of Elaine (nee Leather), treasured Dad of Louise, and Katrina, much loved Grandad of Riley, dear friend of Ben, and Adam.

Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Alan and Jeannie, loved brother-in-law of Faye and Stewart, and Graeme, loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews.

"A true gentleman".

A service to celebrate Murray's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12.30pm on Thursday, August 1, 2013, followed by private cremation.
