On August 14, 2013, at his home; aged 83 years.

Dearly loved husband of Margaret. Loved dad and father-in-law of Sandra and Geoffrey Wright-Taylor (Christchurch), Jennifer and Michael Archer, and Margaret Wright (Hamilton). Treasured grandad of Andrew, Catherine, and Charlotte; Hamish, and William; and Kelly.

A service for Doug will be held in Iona Presbyterian Church, Mount Street, Port Chalmers at 2pm on Monday August 19, followed by private cremation.
