DUNCAN, Valmai Anne (Val)

Peacefully, after a courageous battle, at Sacred Heart Home and Hospital on August 14, 2013; aged 73 years.

Daughter of the late Bill and Doreen Bourke, wife of the late Bill Duncan. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Gerald and Leigh, Alastair and Michelle (Sydney), cherished Nana and Nanny to Lucy, Jack, and Finn; Jenaya, Hayley, and Daniel. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Gavin and Irene Bourke, Susan and Peter Currie, and a much loved aunty, great-aunty, and great-great- aunty to all her nieces and nephews. Loved and special friend of Gay Scott.

Special thanks to Dr Chris Jackson and all the staff at the Oncology Department for their care and support.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Basilica, Macandrew Road, South Dunedin at 11am on Tuesday August 20, followed by burial at Green Park Cemetery.
Rosary will be held in the Basilica on Monday at 7.00pm.
