On October 16, 2013 at Dunedin Hospital, after a long illness; aged 72 years. Dearly loved husband of Aynsley. Father of David, and Angela Wilson (Brisbane). Grandad of Levi, Melanie, and Reece.

A service for John will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12.30pm on Monday October 21, followed by private cremation.

Loved eldest son of the late Martha and Ronald, loved brother and brother-in-law of June and Cliff Oaten, Diane Hubac, Robyn and Debbie and the late Jimmy, and Stephen. Loved uncle of Tony, Glen (UK), and Nicola (Perth); Andrea, Donna, Stacey, and Steven; and Nicole and all their families.
