On January 13, 2014, suddenly at Alliance Freezing Works, Invercargill; aged 58 years. Loved son of the late Ngaruaine and Tangitamaine, loved grand-son of the late Ongoua and Maumau Timoti.
Loved father of Hayden, Ariana, and Rana, and a loved grandfather.
Loved brother of Nooapii, Matakeu, the late Jimmy, Teinaopenga, Putaau, Aerengaroa, Tuaongo, Tangitamariki and all their families.
Loved nephew of Timoti Ongoua, the late Metuatai, the late Tungane, Vaike, the late Taina, the late Paia Ngametua, the late Tuainekore, the late Mariekore, the late Mataora, the late Turua, the late Rangi, the late Kimitaunga, Kopu, Takake, Okianga, Tangimama and all their families.

A service for Metu will be held in First Church of Otago, Moray Place, Dunedin at 11am on Monday January 20 followed by burial at Green Park Cemetery.
A family service will held in Dignity Chapel, corner Middleton and Isadore Roads, Dunedin at 6pm on Sunday January 19.
